About
In this blog I write about technology, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. But more than anything, I try to understand what happens when theory meets practice.
Writing serves that purpose: to slow down for a moment, put ideas back in order, and reflect on what has actually happened.
Because between what should work and what actually works, there is almost always something in between that feels very close to reality.
I have been working in IT for almost twenty years. I started out writing code, then moved on to leading teams and complex programs, managing budgets and working with CIOs. Different roles, same recurring patterns: solid plans that start to crack, decisions made with the right information… that still turns out not to be enough.
Today I am no longer a pure developer, but I am not someone who looks at things from a distance either. The technical background is still there and remains useful whenever things are oversimplified.
I work in a large insurance group, in IT governance, digital transformation, and compliance. In other words: environments where constraints are real and shortcuts eventually come at a cost.
Lately, I have been spending more time in the field of artificial intelligence. Not for the hype, but to understand where it creates value, where it shows its limits, and where it makes sense to invest.
You will not find perfect models or clean answers here. Rather, attempts: things that worked and others that worked far less. Because it is in that space, between expectations and what happens, that we often recognize ourselves most clearly.
